This is one of the fastest NVMe Gen4 SSD available right now and performs similarly to a Samsung 980 Pro or Crucial P5 Plus.

With the Kingston KC3000 still available at $93, with a well known warranty handling, don't see the appeal of this at this price. The next version of it Fury Renegade was recently available for $110.

What am I missing? Who handles the warranty for this?

KC3000 is higher performance than this. See measurements in the review you linked in the OP. KC3000 is at the top.
