I prefer to crowd source my reviews and the reviews of these faucets are in the 1000's on HomeDepot.com and are excellent. If leaking was a common problem I believe it would show up there. Also, since a lot of people will be installing these themselves, it is much more likely that a leak is gonna be an issue with the install than with the product. People will always prefer to blame the product than their own ineptitude.

And as a general point, while I agree that you generally get what you pay for, there are some good deals to be had. Some people however cannot distinguish between something that is cheap and something that is good value. If it makes you feel better to pay $200 for a faucet then I would advise you to pay $200 for a faucet because ultimately you need to be happy with your purchases.

Our landlord bought this for us a year ago, well a glacier bay faucet. It worked much better than the faucet that came with the apt unit but we heard a very quiet hissing sound and our entire cabinet was wet one morning. Turns out with use the handle develops an issue where if you don't press down at a certain angle it fails and will begin to leak under the cabinet.

Good thing is he learned from the maintenance guy's rant about buying such a cheap faucet and replaced it with an American Standard for us. So far so good.

I don't think it's worth the gamble saving a few dollars with faucets since we've seen the effects of cost cutting. Buy something reputable is what the maintenance guy told me.

Is it sturdy? How easy to buy new cartridge? Should I just buy few and use others as spares? PS I have hard water...

Idk to each their own. The leak was definitely a cartridge issue on my unit but again could've just been a fluke. The only reason I bothered commenting was there was a night and day difference in build quality on both. If you are handy I would say these are a good value. However, buying this and paying for plumbing install wouldn't be something I'd do.

For the home I'm building right now I bought a Hansgrohe faucet for $70 on Amazon Warehouse. I would recommend checking out Amazon warehouse for certain things if you know what you are getting yourself into (ex: making sure parts aren't missing or broken item sent). There are some very high end faucets and plumbing fixtures to be had on there. Got higher end pieces that what our builder wanted to put in for cheaper prices than him

I got some good Moen bathroom faucets from Amazon Warehouse at a great price. I had to replace one of the original Moen's because the nickel coating peeled off, apparently having reacted with my shaving foam. I also had to replace the cartridge in one of our Moen shower controllers because it developed a leak within a couple of years. Moen sent me a new one for free.
