Things are very expensive there. Everything is heavily taxed. A pint of Gut is 12 Euros. A sit down meal will be about $50 Euros per person. However, grocery stores are government subsidized. You can stock up on snacks, Gatorades, and other foods for about the same as un the US. Save money by brown bagging meals. They also have Walmart-like stores that are also subsidized where you can get clothes, coolers, and anything else you might need.
If you ever travel Icelandair you can book your flight and at any time schedule up to a 7 day layover in Iceland for no cost. The airline is owned by the government and almost their entire economy is tourism based. I called from Berlin less than 24 hours before my return flight and they booked me a 28 hour layover for free. I rented a car, bought snacks, and drove the entire Golden Circle and southern coast. It was the summer so I didn't sleep as the sun never went down. Awesome addition to my trip and outside the few beers I had in Reykjavik it was pretty cheap.

Yeah. I think thats because of the dark mode.
Correct- I do have "Midnight Theme" enabled. And turning it off solves the problem.
But hopefully SD can fix it so this isn't an issue. Dark mode has been out a long time

I totally agree. This bug has been there for a while now. Either none of SD staff uses dark mode (pity their eyes), or this is not a priority for them as this doesn't bring any revenue

Seems considerably cheaper going this route...
The flight is cheap as shit, but everything there costs 3-4x US prices.

Agree. A true slickdealer could be caught off guard upon arrival. I haven't been anywhere that was more expensive. A burger and beer was $35 down in Vik.
That said, this is one beautiful country. Go if you can afford it, but know what you save on the deal will be gobbled up by the high cost of everything in Iceland.
