Yeah. This is less than the 1100 my friend paid for 3080ti. Great price because Nvidia will delay the 4000 until they rid themselves off 3000s.
Keep seeing this but i really don't think Nvidia will delay shit as long as amd's being competitive i don't think they'd want to lose that market share
You're one of the many spewing self righteous sarcastic junk for months when I've criticized their precious GPU deal. I understand not wanting to feel like you've been ripped off, but it's amazing to see people attacking facts as they are unfolding.
Meanwhile, back in reality, everything I've been saying about the GPU market and price crashes happening, has happened and is continuing...because logic isn't emotional.
It isn't just rumors and hype. The lithography is shrinking to 4N, which will push transistor densities off the charts. The 2XXX was 12nm, the 3XXX was 8nm, die sizes of 445mm^2 and 392mm^2, and transistor counts at 10.8B and 17.4B respectively. So, with around 61% more transistors at around the same die size, the RTX 3070 is around 45% faster. So 45% performance improvement with a 33% reduction in the lithography size at the same die size.
We could delve into mathematical extrapolations for pages, but if a 33% lithography improvement brought 61% more transistors and 45% higher performance, a larger lithography reduction would bring larger percentage increases in both all else equal. Even if the die size were smaller, it could still have higher transistor and performance percentage advantages than the 3070 to 2070 comparison, and transistor counts are still the main factor with standard rendering performance.
If the 4070 is equal to or faster than 45% above the 3070, then now we're around 3080 Ti performance. It's being estimated around 3090 performance, which when considered in light of the aforementioned, nearly every major tech source leak, increased AMD competition, and a crashing market that would demand a significant improvement to keep sales numbers and revenues reasonable, it's not only reasonable but probable that the 4070 will be near or at 3090 performance.
I didn't even read all this shit, but I'm on your side

Wow, the great GPU prophet has spoken… bet you're just a blast to be around at social gatherings… GTFO here…

So, no real response then?
How do social gatherings have anything to do with logic? Actually I'm quite popular, mostly because I reason and respond to topics with more than, oh I don't know, errant juvenile babble like many you probably know and get along well with.

It isn't prophecy, it is what it is.
Ouch, cut deep bro, cut deep. I am certain that my "circle" of close friends' education level, on average, is much higher than the group of people you hang with. Just because my colloquialisms on SD sound juvenile does not mean I'm not educated, in fact, I bet I have a "higher" education than you do; that's not the point though, the point is that you posted 3 paragraphs explaining something that, like you so eloquently put, just "is what it is". Next gen cards like the xx70 series frequently perform at levels similar to prior gen xx80 or xx80Ti cards. Some gens have bigger jumps than others of course, the 3000 series was one of those, and the 4000 gen seems to be on course to make a similar or even bigger jump in performance. This sort of difference varies from gen to gen obviously and I think the 3090 is a bit of an anomaly historically and was/is catered to a different crowd (not for gamers necessarily) due to the amount of memory etc. etc. so not the best example or comparison but I'm sure you get what I am trying to say, since you're obviously VERY educated on this subject, and I suspect claim to be on a myriad of others… What's funny is I agree with your post, just can't stand to read $hit that sounds so damn pompous and condescending, hence the prophet comment… Those that belittle others' intelligence based on little evidence (my 1 post in this case) and tout their unmatched knowledge on a particular subject are usually not as educated as they claim. I suspect the Dunning-Kruger effect verily applies here…

Or are you going off of rumors and hype that precedes every new GPU launch and usually leaves us disappointed??
The 5070 will be Sick!
Considering this is among the worst price to performance cards on the market its not a hard assessment to make lol
Roughly the same performance but the Zotac has better cooling.

AMD competition? You do realize Lisa Su and jensen are family right?
