Just ordered as well, but the Amazon DOA reviews are worrying me. Post once you get yours and let us know if they work!

I'm torn between this one and the one w/o the suspension, how big of a deal is the suspension? I've only ever ridden commercial ones (i.e. Bird) which don't have suspension.

Edit: a big consideration for me is the weight. I'm nowhere near weight limit and this is for recreational use to go around the park with the kids on their bikes (I ride roadbike and can't ride it with my young kids because of clipless pedals, etc.). I won't be commuting and stuff. That said, I like nice things, the price diff is not a concern, BUT one is 30 lb and the other is 40 lb. I guess 30 lb is already heavy enough that it doesn't matter. Is there a noticeable size difference or is the weight difference just in the batteries and suspension/beefier motor on the Juice? Just thinking if I was ever to take it with me in the car.

Check these two videos out. I think the Juice is slightly larger overall. Big difference on the riding board too. The Hang 5 battery capacity is way too low IMHO.

Thanks! I had actually seen these videos, seems like they're the only videos of these eScooters. The same channel has one of the Juice around Lake Tahoe. While not the best videos, they did give me an idea. I know the specs are better on the Juice (and the website wrongly lists the Hang 5 as 500W, rather concerning), I'm just wondering if for my relatively light use it would matter much. The main reason I am even considering this (since price diff isn't an issue) is because of the weight and, as a distant second, size difference. I would rather save 10 lb (30 vs 40 lb), but at the same time I don't want a crappy scooter. Hence, my dilemma Wink Appreciate your help!

The mileage rating on these are always overinflated, even on the high-end brands.

If you think you'll never go over 10 miles roundtrip in one go, I'll just get the cheaper Hang 5. JMHO Smilie

I figured I'm just overthinking this, ended up pulling the trigger on a Juice. Thanks, repped!

Is this essentially a hover 1 alpha?

No. This has front suspension, can do 21 miles, and has twist throttle.

There are some similarities like most e-scooters do.

domain information shows nothing on the whois, and it appears as though this is a mirror copy of hurley.com

Just got my two Juice 5's yesterday. We went out for a ride and I was thoroughly impressed.

Hills were no issue. Barely loss any speed going up what I'd consider moderate hills. Maxes out at 18 mph. We went on a 2 hour ride, around 12 miles, and went from 4 bars to 3 bars of battery.

Overall, for $360 with tax and shipping included, I don't think I'd be able to get another comparable scooter for that price.

Sounds like the better of the 2 options I posted as long as qc is good lol.

Waiting for my Juice, something occurred to me — is there any security feature on these, like a key? I have lots of stores w/in scootering distance that I could go to and buy a few things that would fit in a backpack for the ride home. Is there any way to protect against someone just getting on it and riding off? Any mods that can be done if it doesn't have something like this?

I fully understand someone could come with a truck and take it away (thieves were doing these to BIRDs back in the day when they just came out!), I'm just asking about basic protection against simply getting on the scooter riding away.

i have owned this scooter for a few weeks now. and love it. it is a bit on the heavy side when comparing with two other scooters we own (gotrax and hover). i love that it has a red led tail light and the blue under glow is an attention grabber. i have taken it a few times on long rides and have hit up to 25 mile range with 1 bar left on battery. ( i only weigh 175lbs). found manual, and it actually says 31 mile range with 75 kg (165 lbs) person. so thats pretty close considering i had 1 bar left in power which probably could have taking me a few more miles.
