Looks like Flirc raspberry pi cases are on sale at Amazon. One of the better passive cooling cases you can buy. But not for those who need GPIO access.

Pi 4 - $11.95 [amazon.com]
Pi 3 - $10.95 [amazon.com]
Pi Zero - $9.95 [amazon.com]
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

The FLIRC case is good because it provides passive cooling. It's good enough to run with a mild overclock. The fit and finish is high quality.

If you need to have GPIO access, the pins are hidden under the case, but a GPIO extender cable (or 40-pin IDE cable) will fit through a slot on the case.

For those of you looking for a Pi, Adafruit reliably has them on Wednesday mornings.
those are extinct
what am i supposed to put inside of it?

They will probably be at $5 next month; nobody is buying them. Without RPis to put inside they are useless.

So anyone know where I can get a raspberry pi 4 with manufacture price?

CanaKit has stock and backordering available for various Pi4 kits directly through their site. Definitely not the pricing we saw last year, but max size 8gb aluminum chassis kit for $185 ain't too bad

Just got to find a Pi to put in it. Rpilocator.com is a great tool to find em, but I have only seen the compute modules available recently.
Checked out Rpilocator.com, thanks for that, switched region, but unfortunately everywhere there is nothing in stock. So what's going on with pi, when I finally got to doing some project in pi its just not available have been waiting for month. I guess buy all these additional stuff in hope to one day get hold of pi. Its messed up Confused

They don't even have it for months
You have to check the website often, and go the same day you see them listed in stock. For instance, I got a 4gb Pi 4 last week. When I asked the sales associate when the stock was delivered, he told me the previous day. There were only 4 left in stock so I got lucky

If you can find a Pi right now... this is by far my favorite case for it. Keeps the temps down below throttling (usually much lower), and it's nice and flat, so you can stack something else on top if you want. Also looks pretty darn slick.

I have my original Pi 3b+ sitting in an entertainment center running Kodi. It doesn't get used much but when I got it, I bought the official raspberry pi case to go with it. Last week I noticed it was giving me temperature warnings. Since all of my other Pis are in Flirc cases, I am glad I can pick one up to alleviate this problem. Looks like the Pi3 cases are sold out but they have the Kodi version for $1 more.

There is something we are getting wrong here. Pi's aren't amazing devices. They are amazing for their price. 185 usd is an incredible bad deal for one. That jumps us over so many alternatives that might even be better suited to the task.

As someone else mentioned, use rpilocator and turn on auto-update and sound alerts. If you're quick enough, you can snag a 4GB for ~$55 and 8GB for ~$75. Still a bit steep but half what all the scalpers are selling them for.

That's actually the pricing that rpi foundation set. That's why there's no price gouging at microcenter and digikey.
They had to raise their prices (roughly 10 dollars)

If you think finding a pi is hard... Try finding a pico w.....
part of my wishful thinking says the shortage of them is because it's a required item for some grade school class.

that's just kinda wishful thinking that they actually taught kids this stuff en mass.
