The snake plant is almost impossible to kill. Great for starters. Requires very little light and you water it like twice a month.
It depends on your preference, but I found a better deal, 6 plants for less.

I'm guessing you're overwatering and/or not allowing your pots to drain, thus the roots are rotting

I can't keep houseplants alive for some reason. I've given up trying. I bought a snake plant in the past, knowing it was supposed to be one of the easiest plants to maintain... somehow I managed to murder it.

get a self-watering planter...this should solve all of your issues Smilie Just don't fill the container too high, keep water in it by checking every few days (you'll get used to the rate in which they use up the water after awhile), and voila! Living plants with less care Stick Out Tongue

They also multiply like crazy! I started with one from a deal like this, and I think I have at least 10 large snake plants at this point...need to split them up again Big Grin

don't water it until the soil is dry up to your first knuckle, index finger. For most plants this works well. And a big mistake is putting your plant too far from the window. "Low light" plants still will be much happier by a window. You can google north/south/east/west facing windows to see which is considered high and low light. If you want a plant in the middle of a room - then get a fake one - there are some great fake plants ($$$). But the two major mistakes people make are overwatering and not enough light.

those are great plants for that price! that looks like a marble queen or maybe a manjula pothos and a bonnie curly spider - they used to be sort of hard to find.

I bought this 12 pack a week ago and there was only one repeat. Most of them were easily maintained plants too.

I added a note on the front page post, but no not all of them are pet friendly. Hope that helps.

No, the seller really dropped the ball here regarding their name. I reread the title carefully after spotting the pothos; not obvious, probably named their store that way so they get more hits.
