What car do you have? If it's just an economy car, as long as it's same Oil Grade shud be fine. This is legit deal for people that loves to do their oil change. I'm gonna change my OCI to every 3k instead of 5k since this is super cheap oil. Lol

Then your engine will certainly last to 300k miles when it otherwise probably lasted until 300k miles. Except for me it would take 35 years to drive that many miles and the rest of the car will have fallen apart around the engine and I wouldn't want to drive the same car for 35 years anyway

Same here, I'll be using 0W20 on an older 2010 lexus rx350 (only113K miles) and I do get oil when on sale since I only change the oil about once a year. I tried searching a little bit on BITOG and I only saw one Mazda dealer using this, I was hoping other dealerships were.

While one can go down the rabbit hole of oils especially on BITOG, I would guess this oil will work just as well as other oil as long as they are all SAE rated

Most any shop will allow a person to bring their own oil. They might require an extra waiver and often do not provide a discount though not using any of their oil.

My '11 GM 5.3 runs like new with 122K on it, and consumes 1/4 to 1/3 of a quart of oil every 3K miles. My dad did the ATF in the oil thing for years in an Impala. It never hurt anything but also no evidence whatsoever that it helped anything.

somebody correct me if I am wrong, but ATF is a "friction" fluid though it is a lubricant sometimes used in transfer cases, power steering, etc.. it often contains friction modifiers for automatic transmission clutch plates. However people used ATF as an engine oil additive back in the days because it has a ton of detergents that help clean or keep an engine clean. Some people even mix ATF with acetone as a PBBlaster substitute. But yes, nowadays there are better products to use as an engine oil additive.
