Buca di Beppo gift cards are a joke. They cannot be used with any other discount which is usually better than the discount on the gift card.

If buying any of the restaurant gift cards, keep in mind that you're already getting 5% cash back at restaurants with Discover this quarter, so you're actually wasting 5% of the value of the gift card discount - unless you wait to use them after 9/30.

This is just the usual promo available for years. We used with GAP and paid almost nothing for kids' clothes for many years combining with GAP coupons and cash rebate sites. Actually 20% on GAP GC is the regular offering. During a promotion they used to give 25% for a while.

They've been doing this for many years, good info for those who don't know.

The same reason I use Discover whenever it's accepted unless special deals of other cards. With e-gift card available for some merchants like TJ Maxx, I only redeem the e-gift before going to the register.

So you're saying you can't use a coupon if you're at the register paying with a gift card?!? That just doesn't sound right! Then again, I never heard of the place and don't shop there, so I don't know squat about them!

You may need a Discover Credit card that allows you to earn points per purchase. Discover IT card is what I have.

If you're talking about a secured credit card where you essentially make your own credit limit by putting down however much cash you want, mine was the same. After about 8 months of on time payments you get your money back, and it automatically turns into a regular account, upping your credit limit every few months. At least that's how it worked with me. I opened my account last year with $500. Since then, I got my $500 back, I've never missed a payment, and pay off my balance in full each month, now I'm at a $3,000 limit, and I have $370 in rewards points at the moment. As long as you're paying your bill on time, yours should work out the same.
