I have this model. My experience is with transporting full suspension mtn bikes. Fitting 4 bikes is a challenge and require frame adapters. Because of the tight fit I only transport 2 bikes at a time on the 4 bike carrier to avoid any scratches and damage to the paint finish. For transporting 4 bikes I ended up getting a Yakima hang-tight 6 bike vertical rack.

I have the FullSwing version of this attachment on our Mazda CX-5, which I have used twice since to carry 2 adult bikes. I have been pleased; although, there is some noticeable side-to-side wobble within my Curt hitch receiver. When bikes are loaded and even when driving, that wobble is not noticed, but it is still something that I would like to control. I tried ordering and installing a hitch tightener but the button depress lock on the attachment's tongue does not allow for standard size tighteners to be installed, where the width comes to ~2.75" and is too large for any ring clasp to fit over. I just ordered the following last night to try and combat this (see link below); other recommendations by Yakima included shimming the hitch receiver with soda can cutouts. I hope this helps anyone considering this model.

My chat transcript with Yakima support does. I'm confused by your statement.

Yeah, when you try to add it to the cart it takes away the FALLSALE code saying it's ineligible, and then you lose the $50 off and the free shipping. Makes it $300 for me and kills the deal.

Rack itself is lighter, but the max weight per bike is also less (37 lb vs 40 lb for this this thread's model).

If anyone in Phoenix wants one, I'm selling mine. Like new condition.

Got one from Walmart for $97. I've hauled 4 cruiser bikes from PA to NC and had no issues at all. Very solid and has the tilt too. What would make this worth $400??
