YMMV!!!

Here is the color-calibrated HP X32 icm profile via the Color Munki Display device. (124.29 cd/m2, 6511K, White point DeltaE 2000 at 0.25)
Need to change the color and image setting in the monitor for the proper color.
Menu > Color > Custom RGB > R 255, G 242, B 245
Menu > Image > Brightness 50, Contrast 80, Dynamic Contrast off, Black Stretch off, Sharpness Level 4
I try to upload in zip files in the attachment and it doesn't let me (error occurs). Instead, I use the DropBox link below.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xgxyet1...X.zip?dl=0

For those who don't know what to do with the icm color profile.
You can add the color via the Display settings > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter properties for Display 1 > Color Management > Color Management > Check Box _ Use my settings for this device > Add > search for the files HP X32 icm profiles > OK > Set as Default profile > Done.
If the color of the profile is not to your liking just repeat the step above by resetting the monitor color setting and deleting the icm profiles on the computer.

Use this lagom.nl if want to know how good or bad it is. Because all monitor it is a little different.

Hope this help.

When you press any of the top four buttons (so any of the buttons except for the power button), a display shows on the right side of the screen. Pressing one of the four buttons while that display on the right side is active will activate that feature. From top to bottom, that display shows:
A box with lines
A box with a an arrow going towards the right
3 liquid droplets arranged in a triangle: Green, Red, Blue
What looks like a sun or light symbol

These indicate which button does what. The topmost button, indicated by the box with lines, is the menu button.

Turn off monitor using the power button.
While the monitor is powered off, hold the menu button down.
While holding the menu button down, press the power button, but do not hold it.
Once the HP logo shows up on screen, release the menu button.
Once the monitor fully turns on, press the menu button and access the menu. You'll note that the menu has a new option on the bottom left that is pre-selected in green: Service. Right off the bat it gives you the panel model number, the scaler, the FW Package Version, and the HW Revision.

Hope that helps.

It depends really, some gamers like to see the bigger pixels as it can be a competitive advantage when you're looking for 1 pixel to determine when someone's peeking in an FPS, but generally you want to be able to have a whole field of vision without moving your head left or right to take in everything going on. Curved screens are supposed to make this a little better, but I haven't had much experience with curved screens myself.

Otherwise, the other possible problem is pixel density which is a factor for making the content on the screen look better generally which might be more important for single-player non-competitive experiences. The bigger the screen, the higher the resolution you'd want so you don't see the pixels when you're taking in the experience (whether a game or movie); this can be partially alleviated by distancing your face away from the screen which is typically the case when you're watching TV or playing console games. For PC usage, you're generally pretty close to the monitor so the opportunity is higher that you'll be able to discern the pixels. The other downside is even if the monitor can push those higher resolutions, your hardware might require a significant upgrade to support it.

Back to pixel density, this monitor's PPI (pixels per inch) is 93. The Dell U2722D's (27-inch) is 109. As mentioned before, TVs tend to have lower PPI since it takes into account the distance most people would be from it, the LG OLED55C1PUB's (55-inch 4K) is 80 while the much bigger LG OLED83C1PUA's (83-inch 4K) is 53. The whole idea of TVs going 8K is to close that gap and make content look crisper for really large displays (if you stick your face close enough to the TV to make out the difference), so the LG OLED88Z2PUA's (88-inch 8K) is 101.

In contrast, most smartphones (because you're likely to stick it right in front of your face) have a much higher PPI, the Google Pixel 6 Pro's is 411.

For those of you who got your monitors already, are there any factory stickers, labels, wrappings, etc you had to remove from the monitor itself before using? Mine arrived today and it looks like an open box product. The factory tape was already cut and it looks like someone had already messed around with the monitor. The one unboxing video I saw showed some labels/stickers being attached to the monitor brand new, yet my monitor has no stickers or labels on it at all. It looks like the accessories are there, but I am still concerned they sent me a used monitor. Please help. Thanks.
Mine only had wrapping on the hp logo on the back. I also found it suspicious that it had no wrapping on the front. But the monitor itself looks brand new. Also from best buy.

Determine back light usage found under Menu -> Information and hope for 0 hours, run screen test, and determine return or not.

I don't receive mine till Tuesday, so rolling the dice it appears with BB with actual NEW monitor.

If you purchase direct from Best Buy and have a Best Buy card you can do 12 month financing with no interest or get 3% cash back if purchased via standard credit. I just picked this up and got a free 3 month Youtube premium membership and 12 month interest-free financing.

i just bought from bb with paypal checkout so 5% back from discover. this monitor also has height adjustment. extended warranty on electronics is usually a waste.
When you get the extended warranty for free with the right credit card, why not use that credit card? I know you saved $7 over a 1.5% cash back card, but I'll pay $7 for an extra year of warranty. Also, I already maxed out on the Paypal/restaurant 5% reward for this quarter.

In my experience extended warranty requires more hoops to jump through than manufacturer warranty, and can be dropped as a credit card benefit at any time.

Thanks for the information! That sounds similar to the monitor I received. The monitor itself looks in good shape. It was the cut factory tape, the loosely wrapped accessories, and loose tape on the wraps that concerned me (my last couple monitor purchases the wrapping and taping inside were all super tight so it was obvious if it had been unwrapped before). Thanks again!

I haven't bought a monitor without speakers for a long time, any recommendations for an inexpensive setup to go with this monitor that's good for streaming movies? Thanks in advance!
I got this sound bar recently. It's convenient and better than speakers that come built into monitors but can't match the sound of a speaker system with subwoofer.

Just checked my Chase Freedom offers. I have a 20% back on all Best Buy purchases until a $20 back maximum is reached. These are targeted and not everyone will have but no harm in checking.

Just got it as an open box for $183 and used my chase debit card to get an additional 10% back for BB purchases, so all in all this cost me about $165 before taxes. Good deal in my book.

BOE panel here! Firmware version 1.2.0.0. Picked it up Monday from my local Best Buy after seeing this deal post. Confirmed it was brand new, sealed box with 0 hours back light usage (found under Menu -> Information).

For $199, it crushes my 3 year old LG VA panel (32GK650FB) and finally gives me a 2nd 32" to replace the ancient 24" Asus panel I was using as a secondary. Gameplay is buttery smooth and colors look great! Definitely happy with this as a holdover until I can grab a Gigabyte FI32Q as my main for a triple monitor setup

Just going to confirm my monitor (which I purchased from Best Buy) has a LG Panel, despite what others may have suspected with it being an BOE Panel. As stated previously, you can enter service mode to get this info by holding down the menu button while powering the monitor on. Release the menu button after uh... 5 seconds after powering on I guess?

I've attached a screenshot, but it has the following:
Panel: LGD LM315WQ1
Scaler: MT9800
FW Package Version: 1.2.1.0 (I've read that the Firmware is not user upgradeable)
HW Revision: LIM111

I can't find the datasheet for LM315WQ1; closest I can find is for LM315WR1 [alldatasheet.com]. Hope that helps!

When you press any of the top four buttons (so any of the buttons except for the power button), a display shows on the right side of the screen. Pressing one of the four buttons while that display on the right side is active will activate that feature. From top to bottom, that display shows:

Turn off monitor using the power button.
