Hisense support is truly miserable, unfortunate some of their TVs have been such a good value.
Contacting Hisense was quick and easy using facebook messenger. Don't give up!

My Hisense just died today. Less than 2 years old. Never buying Hisense again ever.
Should be under warranty or no?

I had a TCL crap out right after warranty. Insanely quick turnaround from amex on the extended though. No questions asked after I described issue and provided receipt etc.

In 2018 I purchased a TCL 50" from Target on clearance. It was 65% off. There was 4 0f them on the floor, I took a picture of it, with the clearance sign visible. 4 months later it died. I went back and forth with TCL. They refused to honor the 1 year warranty, insisting it was a return, even sending them the picture, didn't matter. Two lessons learned, 1) I'll never purchase a TCL again. 2) I will always buy an extended warranty for any television. I bought an LG flagship in 2012 with a 5 year warranty, it died 4 months before expiration. It couldn't be fixed, I ended up making $77 when it was said and done. I will wait for some ratings to come out, but I'm very interested in this TV.

This is a smoking deal. U8H was just released few weeks ago.

I own the 65" version of U8G and its a gorgeous TV. I would buy HiSense in a heartbeat again.

TV are not meant to die in short terms (i means, years). If you have two TVs died already in a couple of years, maybe it is your house and living room's problem, like you smoke a lot?

I bought a Hisense H8G for our bedroom TV 2 years ago. The picture was very VERY good for the $ amount but the software was total garbage. Load times were incredibly slow, some features in the UI would be grayed out depending on the content, and app crashes became more and more consistent as time went on. Sold it after about 18 months of use.

PC Magazine gave the U8H series 4.5 out of 5 in a review. https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/hisense-55u8h

It has a two year warranty and I have extended an warranty via my credit card.

I've been waiting for the price to come down which it did today. My local Best Buys are all sold out. I ordered the TV and it's scheduled for delivery next week.
Almost noticed in the pcmag review you posted they mentioned the viewing angle isn't too bad. I assume it's a VA panel they tested but sounds decent. I need a good viewing angle for my setup.

This is insane, there are several people on Slickdeals claiming their Hisense had died within the past week or so. I wonder why they are all failing now. Was yours a 2020 model also? Mine that died was manufactured on July 27, 2020. I wonder if they put a bunch of defective parts and have really poor QC

Yep that's the one. If you go back to Best Buy's website on that one and look at the reviews, they are all failing. Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in order!
