I signed up for this back in April for a total of $350 in rebates. My last $100 rebate didn't process. I called them and multiple times they told me that I hadn't waited long enough and had to wait until something like 60 days of having open service. On the 61st day, I called again and they told me that I wouldn't receive the last $100 because you aren't allowed to combine promo codes. After a little bickering, I was able to get it. Just wanted to leave this here in case anyone else runs into the same issue. I am coming from xfinity and so far the AT&T fiber has been totally worth it. Wouldn't ever look back (at this point).

Switched to ATT Fiber 18 months ago. Has always run a constant 10-15 Mbps up/down above what they advertised. Had Charter/Spectrum for 10 years and speeds were always varying greatly. Sometimes up was only 1-2 Mbps. Everytime I called spectrum it was a constant barage of asking 20 questions in an attempt to upsell. I'd pay extra to AT&T to never deal with spectrum and being subjected to such sales pressure/tactics. Bonus it costs $24.99 less than Spectrum

I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get my money from a previous deal.

I second this. I expected to face denial from AT&T coz I was getting a sweet deal from them so I took records of each and every communication with them including phone calls confirming the rebates/GCs. After a few months they simply said I didn't meet some criteria or wasn't eligible. I went to AT&T store and asked one of the salesman to talk to AT&T customer service and showed him the physical evidence of all communications. I was given all the rebates/GCs in minutes. *uck AT&T and their shady practices. I sweared never to do business with such a scammy company ever again.

Signed up with at&t rep at Costco who also promised all sorts of rebates. Didn't get jack. Also lied and said a technician would come out to the location to set things up for free. Lied. $99 technician fee that I had to fight through multiple phone calls to get waived. Sign up if you want the service, but don't take their word on any rebate BS. Shady AF.

Is the $55/month price always the price or just the first 12 months?

AT&T told me they could give me the blazing fast speeds of u to 10mbps. Yes, you are reading that correctly. The fastest speed they have for my area is slower than what I had back in the 90s.

I would love to switch because I hate Spectrum so much (not that I ever had a good experience with AT&T but it's been a while). The problem is that I'll pay out the lower orifice for cable TV if I unbundle, and no streaming services carry my local MLB or NBA games anymore. All we ever really even watch here is a news channel, a few shows on Discovery and Motortrend, and local sports, so it seems like we're stuck over-paying. Looks like our only choices are Spectrum or DirecTV, both of which are outrageous.

No idea why Bally's Sports is absent from all the streaming services, and TV from AT&T seems really expensive. Spectrum's internet has been reliable and fast here, even a bit faster than the 400 gig I pay for, but it would be nice to get away from them and save a little. I wish there was true a la carte TV, since we could easily get by with like 5-10 paid channels and an antenna.

You had 10mbps in the 90's? Wow, dialup and ISDN were the only options here until about 2000 or 2001. Even when I got cable in 2002 it was 3 mbps. I was in heaven a year or two later when they upped it to 7.

Of course, in the 90's I wouldn't have known what to do with that bandwidth, since there was no streaming media and all the software I prated was only a few megabytes per game or program. The local kid who got a T3 line to house (might have been a T1initially) and started his own ISP was legendary in our BBS scene. Those speeds look pathetic now, haha. In any case, 10 today is no bueno.
