I'm fairly certain this is another HD mistake but wanted to post it anyway. Home Depot has had the Milwaukee M12 jigsaw with 2 Ah battery for $99 for a couple weeks but now they are attaching a free gift of another 2Ah battery as well. This is "hackable" as the price for the jigsaw and one 2 Ah battery will be $59.77

It says make sure you select the same method of delivery for both items now. So we can't just cancel the instore pickup for the thing we don't want anymore?

Correct. HD changed the split delivery option earlier this year. You will need to return the unwanted item.

Just pick both up then return the item you don't want at customer service. Or have both shipped to your house, then return the battery.
