I consider myself to be a fairly tech savvy person but with low/minimal phone needs. My needs for a phone are pretty simple (whatsapp, phone calls, email, listen to music).

I have used this for a year. The camera is a little mediocre but honestly it does everything I need to. It's fine.

Helpful and lucrative tip- If you are new to Tracfone be sure to sign up for the Tracfone rewards! You find a valid referral code to sign up for a nice bonus . If you use a unique top tier code you will maximize the bonus and get 8,000 rewards points ($80 value) in your account. This can be used to buy air time, get phone discounts or add extra data for $10/GB, or minutes, etc.
Activate the phone first, then sign up for rewards with a valid promo code.

Use a top tier one that will get you 8,000 rewards points ($80 value) when you sign up. These are unique single use codes that change after each use and are limited to 5 per month per grantor. Standard ones will only get you 5,000 ($50 value).

Or if already on Tracfone - look for the 10,000 point add a line offer for August.
How many lines we can add to get 10000 for each?

If I activate my 2 flip phones in August could I add this phone later to use as my main phone and combine all the lines into one?

Personally I won't use it as a main phone. This is mainly a decent deal because it comes with 1 year of service, and the phone itself is pretty mediocre (low end mediatek processor + 3GB ram + 32GB storage). The Moto G Stylus (2021) bundle is a lot better but it does cost $45 more when it was at the cheapest price.

In any case, if you have enough reward points, you can probably just redeem the points for a $300 off coupon on Tracfone and get a better phone there as your main phone. For instance, iPhone 11 will only costs you $30 out of pocket after the $300 off coupon.

I already bought a deal like this with HSN a couple months back and now I'm not eligible for the discount, is there any work around?
Also, I have an account with 6000 points left, should I wait until I use up all of my points, close the account and then create a new one with this phone or should I add this phone to my account as a new line but what will happen to the other one when I run out of points? Can I cancel that line and still keep the other one no problem? TIA

It really depends on what he needs for his main phone. Maybe this phone is good enough for him, maybe it is not. Personally, I rather spend a little more to get a better phone just in case you need it for something later on.

(This is coming from personal experience. I bought a phone, probably a $40 Moto E4, few years back thinking I only needed it for call/text/email, etc. Later on, I got hooked to a game but the phone was not powerful enough. The game was crashing every 5-10 minutes when I was playing. I got fed up and ended up spending another $150 on a iPhone 6s...)

Make a new account with a different email on HSN but you may need to use a different card.

At the moment, if you still have an active line with Tracfone with 2 months+ service left, the best thing to do is to add this as a new line to your current Tracfone account. They are having a promotion which gives you 10000 points instead of 7000 points for adding a new line right now (but both lines must be active for 2 months+). The 10000 points will be pending for 2 months, and added to your point balance after you maintain the lines for 2 months (in your case, you will have 16000 points). Once the points are added to your account, you can merge the 2 lines to combine the min/text/data balance and extend the service expiration date.

Note: Some people are having issues about not getting the points when they add a new line. You can check the Moto G Power thread for more detail because some people discussed what they did to get the 10000 points show up there.
