This item is currently on sale a coupon of $160. Went to costco to buy this and they have plenty in stock but they are not selling.. and there is a sign that they are not selling this product due to production.. Costco employee told that they have received some recall information and they pulled it out from the floor and not selling.

This sound bar was posted on slickdeals as a slick deal with the rebate, he just trying to do all the people that bought it a solid by letting them know they should return it asap. I almost bought it myself.

Just like many companies do, it appears they've sacrificed quality for cheaper parts and higher profits. When LCD tv's first came out, Samsung is the only brand I would look at. Now I won't buy another. Last 3 TV's from them all had issues out of the box. Seems to be the norm with mega companies: build a strong brand with quality products in the beginning, then slowly turn to cheaper parts / materials to increase profit.

I would never buy another Samsung product. Their support is non existent and they make false claims and don't stand behind them. I literally tried reaching support a few weeks ago as I am locked out of my account and can't get past the menu. It says "press 2 technical support" so I press 2 and it registers it as a completely different button press. There's no other way to get past that menu. How can a company of that size not even have a working phone menu?

Samsung is definitely not known for audio excellence. Every t.v. I have purchased from them sounds like crap. And that's a lot of them, because they actually are good television's other than sound. At least the ones I own.

Just went through Costco today and this item was on the shelf and on sale. Normal price says $479.99. $250. off for a price of $229.99. These were the ones that were on sale before and then pulled from the shelves due to bad chips. Gonna pull the trigger on it this time. Nice thing about Costco is you don't have to deal with Samsung. Just pack it up and return it for a full refund.
