I bought this at the beginning of the month for $60 after waiting for a deal for like a year. Of course it goes on sale now and of course Amazon doesn't offer price adjustments.

I could return it to get $10 back but it's not really worth the time.

how dangerous is it to keep this always plugged in, under a deck?
If you have a proper in-use outdoor outlet cover, it should be fine. What are you plugging it in to?

Any objections to using this for in wall runs in place of traditional Romex wires? At this price, these are way cheaper than those. I don't even mind cutting off the plugs and direct wire into wall receptacles.
Yes. The building inspector would definitely have an objection to doing this.

The gauge should be heavy enough to handle residential loads, it just won't be to code. If there was ever an issue with a fire, your insurance company may deny a claim.

Thanks, OP, nice deal on a highly rated cord.

I haven't had an outdoor cord this thick and long before. Do most of you use a reel with this, and if so, what's a good one that you recommend?

Looks like a nice deal. Keep in mind it's 100 feet though. If you're in the trades or have a large property where you need to operate power tools and such a long way from a power source, this makes sense, If' like me, you're a "weekend warrior" doing projects within the confines of your house, 100 feet is tedious to deal with and gets underfoot unless you're using all of it. I generally find 25 feet to be more than adequate.

Amazing the price difference between 12 and 16 gauge. I just bought a 16 gauge 100' cord from WalMart for about $20. Of course I only need to use it for a device that draws 1.8 amps so it's more than enough for my needs.

Amazon shows limited lifetime warranty, but WM shows 1 year warranty.
WM now out of stock.
