The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.

I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

Does XM work in any parts of the world like the Pacific Ocean and Asia?
Doesn't work outside the US in cars and no streaming unless you use a VPN. Confirmed that in Asia and elsewhere, Express VPN at least will allow SiriusXM to work for streaming.

Anyone wanting to cancel easily (not try to get retention offers, but to actually cancel) without pressure and without follow up attempts to get you to resubscribe, simply tell them you are cancelling because you are moving outside the country and SiriusXM doesn't provide service outside the USA. They'll cancel it right away without trying to argue with you.

An absolutely horrific service for music. Not the selection, the quality (compression). Somehow was much better 10 years ago than now.
Yeah xm to your car sucks. I just use the app instead.

Are you sure it's not asking for your radio ID number?
It's asking for both radio id and account #

Link wouldn't work for me and SXM kept returning an error when I attempted to cancel online. Changing plans also didn't show a discount.

Chatted with a rep and asked for the 2 year deal but said they only had a 1 year deal available for $5/month. So I took that and will just have to chat with them again in a year to do this whole song and dance again.

The part that I hate about their "deals" is they add that 17% fee to whatever they offer people. Perhaps their business model is similar to Costco, BJs and Sams Club, make the money off of memberships fees.

I do also and Sirius is easily the worst quality out of all the streaming services I use.

You can also just tell them you sold the vehicle, assuming it's not a portable one you're using. I did that years ago.

I am an active subscriber whose 1yr term was about to end... I chatted with them an they applied the 2 year $5 month plan. The promo web page wouldn't allow it, but chatting did.
Was this a call to chat, or a chat window thru their home page? How'd you get them to offer this--did you say you heard there was a 5/month plan available for two years?

I'm so tired of calling in every 6-12 months to re-haggle my plan. I'd LOVE to lock it in for 2 years.

Same here. I drive less than 8,000 miles a year. I like listening to MSNBC. I can do so via TuneIn but for some reason Amazon Echo has trouble with TuneIn where some days I can never get it to work in my car.

Either way, with this deal I don't have to pre-pay a year and can drop it again if I get tired of it.
are u serious ,does anyone actual watch or listen to MSNBC after the past 2 years . There rating were in the tank even before that .Now its even worse they have you and a few dozen other people as there listeners and people who watch combined . too funny but you did give me a good laugh this early morning .

I just got the platinum plan for $8.99 month
Was there a special promotion for platinum? I just canceled our subscription as we sold a car. I need to activate a new subscription in our new car and debating between this $5/mo deal or platinum.

I am being told this promo is radio specific and I am not eligible for it 😩. They did give it to me for 12 months though 👍🏼
