Which is why you've gotta go to the expensive theaters, where parents won't pay for their kids to see a movie. Keeps the riffraff out most of the time.

Theaters will be packed with $3 tickets. Would rather watch a movie at home.

Thanks to this deal, we enjoyed Bullet Train for $1 out of pocket. I had $5 AMC reward and free popcorn and drink coupon for my birthday. It was best $1 I ever spent. The movie was pretty good. We enjoyed it. There are some things that did not make sense (from native view of how things are in Japan) but it was Hollywood movie and not documentary.
I'd like to hear what they got wrong, from a native's perspective. So I can watch for it in the movie! I've been to Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto and really enjoyed what I got to see of Japan..

Thanks OP. Watched Maverick with DBox for $5 per person after taxes and fees. First time trying it and I think I'm ruined. Must've been the best possible movie to watch with DBox

How about you send me PM after you watch the movie? I don't want to spoil the movie by posting here.

Also watch the trailer of the 3 being interviewed, Pitt and the other 2 main characters.
They give insight as to what, where, and how the filming was done. nod

Can you give the link to the interview? I googled the locations of the film for specific scene but I only got very basic answers like California and Tokyo.

Also, I became interested in reading the book which the movie was based on, so I put a request for hold at local library.

Finally found it. I had to search which sites I had been to to find it. Enjoy: https://editorial.rottentomatoes....ckie-chan/

Thanks for the link. I watched the interview but didn't say anything about the locations where the movie was made. Am I missing something here?

Yes, they talked about it having been filmed mostly inside this set made like a little bullet train and trying to make it look as authentic as possible, also they talked about having to do this during the pandemic on lockdown etc. When I watched initially there were no interruptions of ads as there seems to be now when I was trying to find the parts I just posted. That's annoying!

I already knew from my googling, they shot most of scenes in the sets at Hollywood studio. I was hoping the interview you gave me the link had more specific details about where which scenes were shot. We are curious where the "Tokyo station" scene was actually filmed since that doesn't look like real Tokyo train station, but it has been many years since we were there so it could be actual Tokyo station (but I doubt it is).

I appreciate you keep looking but it still does not answer my question.

If I find the answer I'll let you know. But if I recall right in 2020 there was no International Travel allowed during the lockdown. Trump instituted it here in January, Japans ban started April 3rd, 2020.
This film was done during the Pandemic and lockdowns in 2020.
