You can select two different pickup locations. After the purchase, go into your account and cancel the item you don't want. No need to wait for it to expire.

I tried to do the hack by having one item shipped and the drill/driver set for store pick up but the app didn't allow me to do that. It made me choose either shipping only or store pick up only.

So I chose two separate stores for in store pick up. I will go and get the set and then let the other one expire and see what happens!

Does anyone else have experience with this?

be nice to the employees in the other store and just call the store to cancel the pickup. no need to add to the piles they already need to weed through.

but yes, i do this for every item i purchase like this, have for many years.
