Great shoes! These are only normal width which is narrow compared to other shoes like the nike Pegasus. I've been running since kayano 17 and noticed that as I aged I needed a wider shoe and switched to altra's. Then a few months ago I paid $75 for these in wide and love the extra space and cushion.

Great shoes! These are only normal width which is narrow compared to other shoes like the nike Pegasus. How are these compared to Gel-Nimbus? The last time I tried these along with Gel-Nimbus 16, I found the sole hard. Moreover, the quality on Gel-Nimbus has gone down since 16. I tried 18 and didn't want to upgrade. But most shoe brands have been like that to reach out to a wider customer base. I like my shoes cushiony and light!

They are different types of shoes. Kayano is for stability and Nimbus is for cushioning, so no comparison.

Get this if you have pronation and nimbus if you have neutral feet.
Best amongst Asics for most.

Now on its 27th iteration, the Kayano is everything we expect from a premium stability shoe. It's sturdy, supportive, has got an incredibly plush comfort (surprising for a stability shoe)! If there's a hang-up to it, it's the shoe's hefty weight, which for us, is not something that should be penalized, given its top-tier performance.

People who claim this is a "great shoe" I can guarantee don't have more than 3 pair of shoes. This is the absolute worst kayano out of the line. It's heavy, the upper is not comfortable at all, the shoe is showing its age and its design.

It's the worst shoe in my collection and I almost never put it on.

I much prefer my 1080v12 or literally Any of my Nikes over this. It's funny because the original Dynaflytes were my favorite shoe.

I've had Kayanos since 20.

This is definitely bottom 3, compared to other years. I always buy a pair so hopefully the next model is better.

I've been wearing Kayanos for years and ordered one of these 27s (thanks, OP!) as an upgrade from the 26s I just wore out. You're saying that 27s are the worst Kayanos, or talking about Kayanos in general?

Sadly kayano is getting worst every year. I think 19 was the last good one. The gel 360 is not bad but heavy. The classics like nimbus, cumulus, and 'yano are just so hard now and sizing is 1-2 sizes small now. You should really try them before buying. I just look for old newer stuff at thrift stores.
