Hi Mom and Dad, I'm all grown up now and I've had a whole life outside this house, but times are tough out there and we got foreclosed on and now we have to live here again.
No politics this time, but all the same dysfunction you grew to love when we lived across the street. Let the party begin.

My union it's 5 years to be vested but that only guarantees a pension if you're in good standing.
For example, if someone steals from the company they will be fired and WILL lose their pension.
Where I work it really doesn't matter what the reason for being fired is they take it from you unless you resign or retire.
Not sure about other locals..
My Teamster local can't and or won't help people.
A friend of mine got fired after 17 years for some BS reason that was actually not true.
The union didn't get him his job back and his pension is GONE.

Interesting bath towel thing. I on a whim grabbed a camping towel that is like a huge microfiber towel. It is shockingly amazing. Not pretty for home use, but it dries me well, and then dries really fast hanging in the breeze.
