That's $20/TB, so the deal is only because of the "Red Plus" technology and sub-$100 price.
If you will buy Seagate (I won't), the current $/TB cheapest is a Seagate Exos X16 14TB for $200 - that works out to $14.29/TB. https://www.newegg.com/seagate-ex...6822184812 The 10TB Seagate X16 version is $17.5TB today too. These have 5yr part warranties..
Lots of choices. I look at the warranty for the drives to decide what the vendor thinks. With 5 yr warranty, they think it will last forever. Anything less, means they have compelling proof it won't last 5 yrs, which is an important consideration to me.
