Yes. If you have 4 lines on shared data and wanted unlimited on 2 of them, then your cost would be $40 for the 2 unlimited lines and $15 for 1 GB of shared data for the other 2 lines. Total is $55 + taxes for the 4 lines.

You need to have your account upgraded first. Go to the web and upgrade it in my account. You cannot upgrade plan on the mobile app unless you go to the website on mobile. You can also go to a store or do it thru chat or call.

I have 5 lines. 2 are not used, just ported in for the rebates. But, I left 1 of those 2 on my plan to pay taxes only since it brings my 1 line that I want unlimited to only $20 plus $15 for the other lines that are shared (relatively no data, mostly on wifi). By keeping the 1 line which runs about $3 in taxes, I go from $45 + $15 to $20 + $15. Savings of $25/mo for just changing my plan.

Truly a slick deal for those who use the service. YMMV
Do all these 4 lines have to be ported in?

Can I port in 2 numbers for my in-laws and give them shared 1 GB data and then, get 2 new numbers for my wife and I with unlimited data?

To get phone deals for the BYOD deal, you need to port in a number. So you and your wife doesn't have a cell number? If yes, what are you going to do with the extra Xfinity lines. Anyway, if you really need # to port into Xfinitiy, create google voice #. It cost $3 to unlock for porting.

I have 5 lines on per gig plan. After I upgraded to the new plan, I was offered $20 for 1 unlimited line, and another $30 for the second unlimited line. I am confused. Why the second line is more expensive than the first line?

I have 7 lines, 6 are per gig and 1 is unlimited. 6 per gig line is $15 total + 1 unlimited is $20 total.

If I convert 1 of the 6 to unlimited, then it becomes, 5 per gig for $15 total + 2 unlimited for $40 total. Total before taxes is $55 all together.

Unlimited is available on any Xfinity Mobile line, whether you have a phone or tablet.

Multi-line pricing for Unlimited data is available for phone and tablets only. Total number of lines includes lines using By the Gig data. Nationwide network includes 5G and 4G LTE data.

If you have 5 or more lines of either type or mixed types (per gig or unlimited), your unlimited lines will be $20 each.

Does anyone know what is considered new customer for the BYOD $100 gift card? I had ported a few numbers to XM a few years ago when they had 100mb free data

Sorry in advance if this is a ridiculously dumb question. If I bring my iPhone, does it need to be unlocked? (I currently have an AT&T iPhone 11. Could I bring it with me, or would I need to get a new phone?) I'm about to change phone plans (9 hours from now), so any info tremendously appreciated!

If your phone is not unlocked, it can't be use with any other carrier including Xfinity Mobile. If you are trying to get the $100 for BYOD, then you can't get a new phone. Otherwise, you can sign up for service with Xfinity and get a discount iPhone when you port your number. Current discount is $400 off over 24 months via monthly credit on iPhone 14, 13, & 12.

Does anyone know if this includes Canada data roaming? If not, does Xfinity mobile have international plans?

Does anyone know if there are extra fees (ex: taxes, etc) Xfinity is notorious for charging?

I was paying $40 per line for two lines unlimited ($30 per line for 4 or more lines). I just went to my account and clicked to upgrade. Now I have the same thing I had before but for $30 per line for two lines. Glad I saw this post!

While Xfinity does have the option to get a number from them - you're better off porting in a line.

Whether it's a new device promo or a "get $xxx for BYOD" - the incentive requires porting. There have been times when the BYOD offer has been $200 (and some have been able to stack a $50 / 100 rewards deal on top). Current BYOD offer is $100.

If you pick up numbers at GV ($3-ish); Numberbarn ($7 ish0 / activate a Boost $1 sim or a Ting $1 sim) - you get $100 when you port in.
If you don't pick up any numbers and ask XM to give you a number - you get nothing.

Your choice.

Even if you are currently having XM lines, adding a new number is considered valid for the BYOD gift card.

Note that XM promo varies; it was recently at $200. $100 is the current promo and is lower value; I've seen XM keep switching between $50 / $100 / $200 randomly, so I expect to see the $200 promo again within a few months. If you can wait, that makes more sense.
