    These things are kind of worthless because sure, they're airtight but there's no mechanism to remove air that got in there when you opened it so your coffee just has air sitting on top of it, making it get stale. It's better to just keep it in the bag it came in that you can squeeze the air out of and roll up as you go.

    Unless the container is full of beans they will still be sitting in the empty container air. The co2 release releases excess air/gas (since the beans will be continue to release co2). It's likely the same mechanism that's on a every bag of beans except that you can't compress out the excess air by squeezing.

    This $11 deal has been posted a few times on SD in the past month so it's likely not a price mistake. I'm guessing it's a way to advertise their product as the SD sells out quickly.
