Installing MS Edge on New Chromebook

217 117 September 8, 2022 at 06:04 PM
I just got a new ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook and my goal it to keep it as Google-free as possible.

As such, I am avoiding the standard "set up" protocol (requiring I submit a gmail acct).

This Chromebook won't let me access "Developer Tools" by clicking on the setting Icon.

Question: How can I access the Developer Tools in "Guest mode"? And if I can't do that, how do I get MS Edge on my machine without Google knowing who's chromebook this is?

Thanks

I think you have to have an account as a Chromebook is designed to be used in the cloud and online.

You could be out of luck as far as EDGE goes

Thx for your reply. It doesn't have to be Edge, it can be TOR or anything BUT Google.

Try FireFox but you could be out of luck to tell you the truth!
