Just grabbed one from the Howell, NJ store. Box is pretty beat up, but it looks to all be there. This is a sick deal if you can get one.

Yes, I had looked in the soldering section before at Union City, CA but didn't buy it at full price nor the Ryobi 18V battery operated tool only one (that one also had a clearance tag but I didn't check the price). I had given up replacing my mouse button with a cheap $2 iron I had sitting around that couldn't get hot enough.

I went back today and only the Ryobi was still at the soldering section. But the Weller was at the clearance section end cap cage.
New Iron might not be your best solution. Unless there's a large metal plate on the back of the mouse sucking up heat, your problem is most likely an over oxidized tip (look up how to clean a tip, soaked paper towel usually works) or the tip needs a little solder to help with the initial heat transfer! Best of luck!

Brickseek said there were 2 but I only saw one on the shelf. I asked someone to scan it and they said there were none left, but they also looked like they didn't want to deal with looking so I'm not 100% sure.

Grabbed one from the Coram NY store. They now have two remaining. Nice soldering station. very nice weighted base that holds the iron. The iron itself feels great in hand, thin and very light weight and a thin very flexible cord attached. After my old Weller broke I've been using a digital iron I got from a radio shack closeout and I HATE the thick stiff cord attached to the iron.

My only problem is that all of my soldering tips won't fit this iron. That's a bummer because I have a lot of tips.

I check Brickseek says 2 on hand at store near me clearance but not showing the price. Most of the times I can see the clearance price but not now. How precise would this be? HD website was telling me 1 remaining at other store but full price.

Anyone knows if this takes 900M tips ? Actually, the recent $12 digital iron that I got from Amzn, comes close to 3 degrees in accuracy when checked, and tips are less expensive too.

My understanding is that Brickseek no longer displays clearance price for HD, however it does let you know it is a clearance item and the qty on hand at stores.

Heck of a deal if you can find it! None near me and honestly I don't need another iron as I already have a Hakko and one of the knock off TS-100 based ones. Still, that is a killer price for a really nice iron.
