3 of these would be amazing for gaming.

These problems are solved when getting a monitor with display port (i.e. this AUROS monitor, LG's 48" version or ASUS 48" version that just came out). I didn't know this when I bought my 3 LG 55 C1s.

hoping to set everything up this weekend
I've got a 65" CX in the living room and it's gaming perfection. It'll be nice to have an OLED in the office too. I would have preferred a 43" C2, but a 48" OLED for $600 is just way too sick to pass up.
My current ultrawide is on an arm, but it's not a strong enough one for this display. I'm going to try the feet, but throwing that arm in an Amazon wishlist just in case. If you think about it, id like to hear how it works for you.

I'm thinking of getting one primarily for gaming, I'm not sure if people are going to be happy here long term with using it as a PC display, even though that's what the display port was for. There are too many reviews talking about the Aorus problems, I think there's a reason it's so "cheap" here. I also own a 55 CX and 3 55 C1s. I'm thinking of getting 3 Aorus for sim racing, where ABL won't matter as much from what I hear.
There are cases of burn in already (1 year) and weird black blotches that appear and disappear along with the aggressive/noticeable ABL that I wouldn't use it as a PC monitor other than a try and hope it works for $600. At least it's significantly cheaper than the competition that it doesn't hurt as much with some of its problems.

I'm less inclined to think the price is because of "Aorus problems" and more just a combination of the right circumstances. Normally the display is $999, which isn't too far under the competing 48" OLEDs. For the underdog brand, that's the right price. Over the summer, we saw 48" C1's going for $800, which is pretty much the obvious choice at that price point. Now that they've dried up, I think the $200 rebate is more Gigabyte simply trying to capitalize on remaining interest at that price point. I think this specific deal is unintentional, especially since even though Gigabyte still lists the $200 rebate as valid thru the end of the month, Newegg no longer has it listed on their website. Thus, it's still being advertised as $800, not $600, and assuming the rebate goes through (which I believe it will).. the only way you'd see that price is via SD. That extra $200 might be something Newegg is doing to draw people to them since the rebate is being offered at other sites also, or it might just be a play by them to move as many units as they can during what I suspect is a normally slow time for displays/tvs as people dig in and wait for black friday deals (where folks shopping for something like this are no doubt crossing their finger for an $800 48/43 C2).
As burn in goes, I feel like that's a coin toss. As im sure you know, from a hardware standpoint, they're all the same LG panel. Any advantage or disadvantage would be software based. LG has pixel shift, but I wouldn't want that in a monitor anyways, I think that's something most people who use it as a display tend to turn off. The Auorus has a pixel refresher same as the LG, and both it and the Asus should have a leg up by having some monitor specific power control stuff that the LG TVs lack. At the end of the day though, with burn in, that's a risk you take with any OLED, and that risk gets exacerbated using an OLED display as a desktop monitor. There is no doubt in my mind that on a modern OLED display, burn in can be avoided if you take the appropriate precautions. If you treat it like every other display, you've had before it though, you're asking for a bad time. Even on my old B7A, back before LG implemented many of their burn in mitigation techniques, I used that monitor for several years with a PC and never saw a lick of burn in. You just gotta be smart about it.

As a TV, it's working out great, I just can't figure out how to pair the Firestick remote to it if at all possible. One thing that grates on me about it is when it switches modes between various resolutions or SDR/HDR, it's slow, you're stuck on a black screen for a bit and the sound is even more delayed. Not a problem with most PC usage, but if you hook a console up to it or browse streaming shows a lot it gets annoying.
Picture quality is like most OLEDs absolutely delightful and the motion clarity is amazing. It's sufficiently bright for my room setup, glad I bought it.
