This is a fun game, played with my kids and they enjoyed it as well. It's available on X BOX game pass if anyone is interested

It's a beat 'em up. You walk from left to right with a limited set of strikes and grabs until you reach the end, where you face a boss with a special mechanic.

Perhaps you don't remember The Arcade Game, Manhattan Project, or Turtles in Time. They're all repetitive. They were made to eat up quarters in an arcade and Shredders Revenge is the same.

Was going to mention this as well. Lots of fun, if I didn't have it there I'd probably jump on this deal. If you liked the old school arcade's this is good mindless, yet monotonous fun.

I dont get why this game is getting some negativity in the comments. It's a $20 game, so the expectation should be a little low going in(at least in my opinion). But this game is legitimately a fun game! If you're looking for story or some new battle system or graphics or IDK, this isnt for you... But if you're looking for a game that you can pull out and just play with some friends, or kids, or even people that dont really game too much and you just want to have fun together then this is it! This is a REALLY fun game and for anyone that was a fan of the older TMNT, a must buy in my book.

You'll get your $20 from it. But, contrary to what some of the initial reviews and fan comments were, this is not game of the year material and never would have been. Worth a play through in any event, maybe more if you want to try out the other characters.

Superficially it is a lot like the two games it's paying homage too, but something about the gameplay just feels stiffer and clunkier, where as the previous ones still have that satisfying feel to something as repetitive as smashing the foot clan soldiers back and forth on the ground. It's not terribly off, just enough to where the feel isn't as satisfying. Overall, the nostalgia and new levels and "good enough" gameplay I had no regrets buying or wasting time playing. The online co-op was a very cool touch, and the teammate revival system is cute. I wonder how long the online game will stay alive and populated.
