Unfortunately no…there are a lot of people who want everything for free.
At this point most of the people who wrote those early games are dead and the publishing companies that own the rights aren't even hosting the data online, some third party is doing it for them. Just seems like they ought to exist in some free-to-play digital gaming archive or something.

If you can get 30-year-old data to work on a system that didn't exist for 25 of those years, have at it. As for running on DosBox (or other emulators) or original hardware, there is definitely a discussion over copyright and how long it really should last. As it stands, these are great prices for the convenience of running old games on new hardware with some quality-of-life features thrown in.

The devs at M2 did an excellent job of modernizing this classic. I wish they did the same for the PS 2-4
