I noticed that too, the TDS was still fine but they got a weird taste. When they're expensive filters I wasn't happy with just trashing the filter so early
Yea I personally wouldn't pay over $5 a unit for these. These are fine with the first month, but I rather drink Brita afterwards.
i have about 260 TDS with the hard water here, they last about 10 gallons or so. However distilled water at store is $1 a gallon, but is more hassle since I have to carry gallons of waters back home. So I prefer using these despite coming out to same price.
I also own a countertop distiller but with electricity it means a gallon costs abouit $.60 to make. While that is cheaper, the hard water I have makes the distiller a PAIN to clean. I have to scrub endlessly with vinegar to get it out. It also takes 4-5 hours per gallon so if I am out of water I have to sit there waiting.
So the convenience of the filter is why I go for it instead. I only get the fishy odor near end of lifecycle, by time TDS hits 0.01 I throw it out even though they say 0.06.
Isn't drinking 0 TDS water bad ? I am in market for water filter so curious to hear from people who are using this.
Some world health organization claimed that many years ago but it could never be backed up from what I understand. it might hold true in a poor area where they aren't getting minerals from other food sources.
The bottom maybe 15-20% gets dumped out each time. Sometimes I dump it into the plants to water them, sometimes the dogs bowl gets it, and sometimes it just helps soak some dishes. The filters last way longer with the most frequent one being every 6 months. Another is yearly, and the most expensive is every 2 years. I have the Wi-Fi version so the app gives me reminders and filter life status which is nice. It even tracks the number of gallons you run through it
Which Zerowater unit is that. I'm not seeing any with those features.

Only last a month regardless of what I do. The filters just don't last
