I'm surprised no one has commented on this. 10% off when you buy the $50 card(s) and no fees or state taxes. That's a great deal. I buy several of the cards almost every time Target does the promotion. Never had a problem. Other things in life should work so easily.
From the AT&T slickdeals post, what I read was, you use a virtual card or a normal card and order the sim. You will only be charged for the sim card today. $300 + tax will be charged the moment you put the sim card and turn on the phone. So, first create an account, load the 300 balance and then put the sim card in the phone. Read through that thread.
What if you don't already have a prepaid account? I was looking at jumping to art prepaid from red pocket…
Yea - checkout for new customers looks like it requires payment method that isn't a gift card unfortunately- unless someone knows some way around it that I dont

Yes, this is exactly what I did. AT&T didn't charge me until my SIM was activated.
I actually set up service with an eSIM, but AT&T didn't email it to me, they FedEx'd me a piece of paper with the eSIM details. Weird, eh? So I had 2 or 3 days after ordering the $300 service to buy $300 prepaid cards from Target and load to my account.
Unfortunately there wasn't a 10% off deal then, but I did get the 5% Target Red Card discount.
FYI, the $300 prepaid card I bought covered everything, including all taxes and fees. I'm in CA, where those could have been expensive… Really good deal!
BTW, does anyone know how long these cards last? I started my service a month ago, so would need them to last for about 11 months… If I buy now, do I load to my account now or hold them and load shortly before my renewal date?

I remember reading it has 1 year validity. I might be wrong. Don't buy now. This deal keeps coming every 3 or 4 months. Buy 3 or 4 months before your renewal date and load the balance a month before renewal. This is what I do.
Is there an qty limit or do I have to wait 24hrs until I buy again? I could only buy 2.
Yep, it's a limit of 2 per Target account. Would have been super nice to know that information going in (especially if you're someone like me that needed to buy 6 $50 att prepaid phone cards) but I digress. Anyway if you have multiple email addresses to create Target accounts, different payment methods (example being a debit card, PayPal, and maybe an additional cc), and an additional telephone number (let's say a Google voice number to link to a couple of those "Target" accounts), and LOTS of time that should do the trick. Took me over an hour to purchase 6 $50 att prepaid gift cards from Target creating multiple accounts and just using trial and error and common sense. Target's multiple account detection system is really good, so try to make each account as different as possible if you can. Pro tip, also try not to use the same physical address as well on the other "Target" accounts. Wish I would have known this going in, but at least I know what to do for next time! 🙂
Last thing, after you place your order make sure you hit the red "visit order history" bar. Make sure that the order for the prepaid card says "preparing" and not "canceled".

Can someone who bought two today confirm after 24 hours if it may reset. We have six days to buy six cards technically there may be some time. Last resort you could go in store ..

The cards last indefinitely. The timer starts when you activate them. For the 300 deal it doesn't matter because you load it and pay either before you activate or a few days before day 360. You are prepaying for a year so you satisfy the deal there is no day count. The same goes for monthly ones you can stack them.

why wait 24 hours? I've already bought 5 on the same account in the last 20 mins.

Can't be used on this order
