For inwall speaker wire, monoprice makes some good CL2 speaker wire

No. It doesn't have the proper UL ratings for voltage or fire resistance. If you do use it, it won't pass inspection, and in the case of a fire, your insurance won't pay any claim.

Copper prices probably aren't going down anytime in the foreseeable future. Don't need them right at this moment but ordered both to have on hand. For pure copper, those prices are surprising, especially the 12 AWG. I've paid more for CCA within the past year.

Exactly, 12 AWG is a gem of a deal for Oxygen Free Copper!!! I bought one 10awg and two 12 AWG. Same as you, I don't need so many wires but the prices will be climbing up and it's good to have some copper wire on hand, especially when the lowest price for 12 AWG was $39.51 Jul 27, 2020.

It says in titile home theatre application but dont see rating info. Are these rated for in wall wiring, any input?

I haven't seen pure copper 12 AWG for 17 cents a foot for a VERY long time, I ordered 3 rolls. I only ordered 1 of the 10 AWG as I don't use that size too often and the discount wasn't as good so no need to have too much of it on hand.

Thanks... If this is just what's seen, does the longer run inwall need to have same 12awg? Wiring up a 15x20 with 5.1.

It depends on your length of run as well as what sort of power you're putting through the speaker wire, there are calculators online. However especially for inwall wire, you're better off going with a lower gauge as it's harder to swap out.

I have a big yard. Can I use this to run lawn equipment? Last year I ran my tiller with a 16 Guage 100'extension and it died.

No, these are for low voltage applications plus don't have necessary protection to be used as extension cord wire or even exterior wire (unless installed inside the car or something)
