Yeah....t-mobile deals not as good as last year.

So, my calculation for two phone 14s this year is:
Phone 1 = $719.99
Phone 2 = $719.99
Taxes $86.40 (6% sales tax)
Total = $1,526.38
Rebate = $630
Total = $896.38

If you assume 3 months of $20 per line plans ($180 total), your total out out pocket for two unlocked iphone 14 is $1076.38 (or $538.19 each).

It's funny that Costco only accept Visa card but the rebate is Master card

Anyone know if adding an smartphone device plan qualifies this? I plan on upgrading my wife and I to the 14, but we don't need another plan. However, I was planning on also getting the new Apple Watch ultra, which is cellular capable. Wondering if that is cknsidered adding a new line and I could save the $630?

Yeah I'm done with farting around with the silly rebates these days to get the latest and greatest. My current phone and last time I did a rebate promo was in 2018 when I got 2 free iPhone XRs via T-mobile at Costco trading in an iPhone 6. Was able to get rebate upfront on a card and dropped line after activation. I'm guessing they lost a boatload on that and they've never been good since.

Given technology isn't rapidly change YoY, will upgrade in next year or 2 to the 13 or 14.
I just posted the same thing yesterday !
Traded in an old iPhone 6 for a 'free' iPhone XR
those were some incredible deals.
I think I did 4 of those for the XR and then they had the deal available for the 11 but they were sold out once people found out about that deal.

I'm sure they lost out a lot. because almost all of us canceled those lines after we got the rebates.
crazy deals back then Cool

I mean this is just a bold faced lie. Give me one example of a 1:1 comparison (ie - exact items, like cans of Jif PB or Tide detergent) that are cheaper elsewhere. Not "these cucumbers are cheaper at this grocery store".

I've been a Costco member for years and literally just about every brand I buy is cheaper at Costco. Occasionally I'll see a fruit or paper plates might be cheaper somewhere else, but its very rare. One example...I just bought a DeWalt shop-vac @Costco a month or so ago, it was $79.99. The exact same model @Home Depot was $149.

Add in the fact that the gas is usually 20-25 cents cheaper than any gas station around and my membership is usually paid for just in gas savings over the course of the year. I save about $3 with every tank fill up over any other station.

Just stop.
We love Costco, family with two adults. Cheap doesn't alway mean better value. We buy a lot of non perishable and bulk items from Costco, plus many other household items. There are countless examples where it's hard to beat the price. But buying milk or some other fresh items is not always a good idea. We are unable to eat it on time and things go bad. But this is us. That's why I like the combo of Lidl/Aldi and Costco. In other words, Costco is amazing and it takes time to develop a list of items to save money. It's true for any store.

And huge downside: NO SIM SLOT. Anyone who has had to deal with eSIM problems with the US carriers, much less traveling, will understand. No idea why the 14 has much interest to be honest.
Who knows what they were thinking with esim,. This reminds me of the days of verizion and sprint having ESN numbers and no SIM cards. Same thing, different name.

I was in Costco yesterday for the first time in ages. I could not believe prices were so high on many items, especially food. I know inflation is everywhere, but no point paying a membership fee, buying in bulk, and dealing with the crowds if the prices are basically the same as other stores that are more convenient to shop.

since these have eSIM, it would be hard to sell one, right? I only want the pro max, would it be better to buy the 14 pro max to keep and a 13 pro to sell? (and ask to leave the 13 in sealed box)
14 weeks is typical time period in which you would receive the GC so i would say 4 months

Terrible deals .
Costco deal requires add a line. It is a pain to add ,pay for service for 2-4 months until gift card arrives and cancel again.
T-Mobile deals require plan change to magenta max. Ripoff.

Yes, I didn't mention it in my previous post. The prices on many things including Kirkland brands has been increased a lot (specifically for non-perishables like paper plates etc) plus nuts too

Yes.

T-Mobile has Magenta 55+ plan (unlimited Data/Text/Phone calls and can be used in Canada and Mexico for free) for seniors. (limit 3 lines max in each T-mobile acct)

Tax included monthly fee is 1 line for $50, 2 lines for $70, 3 lines for $105 (with auto pay}
My mom is on the senior plan with two lines already. Is it possible for her to sign up for this deal but add a line on a cheaper plan, like the $20 a month one?

Well, in all honesty, Apple is in a position where they can so everything wrong and would still walk away unscathed because fans and media would still find ways to justify their #courage

I still have confusion if BYOD stack over BOGO for three lines. Lets say you purchase two BOGO for $300 each promo. Can you add a third line next day for BOGO coz that gonna make one of the BYOD comes with both BYOD and BOGO offer. Do I need to add two more lines for BOGO and BYOD to stack?
I think there is 30 days limit before you can use another promo on the same line
