Specs don't matter because this product is made by contract manufacturers and is not meant to last long or be durable.
Pure specs and not a good investment.
How to tell when a laptop has been made by contract manufacturers? Aren't they all contracted for part production and at best they are being assembled locally

Hint retail, you just blew past the back to school market price gouging.

It's overstock OR a significant reduction in demand. This laptop has been on sale at Best Buy and eBay in the past month.

Exactly. This laptop has great specs! Terrible investment! Buy one with worse specs for the same price! Much better investment!

That is a pure gaming laptop whereas this is a Content creator laptop. The Display may be 4K AMOLED but it is just 60 Hz, compared to 165Hz in Legion. Similarly, the GPU is 130W vs 150W in Legion 5 Pro and it does not have any MUX Switch for Adaptive Sync tech.
Right on.
Thank you for your insight.

Very good for the price, but 60hz kills it for me. Will stick w/ my '21 legion 5 pro.

Is this good for 4k editing and all
This is one of the best windows laptops for that due to the screen quality and fast 14 core i7, especially with price considered.

Also to people complaining about 60hz for gaming, its a 4k panel, at high settings the 3070 Ti will just do like 60 FPS, the 60hz panel isnt holding you back, no mobile GPU can do 4k high refresh rate.

Can you game with monitor closed (docked) and connected to another screen? Would overheating be an issue?

Anyone know how the thermals are on this model? Saw a lot of poor reviews on BB and Amazon comments, but they often lump reviews for different models together, so can't really trust them for model specific feedback.

Check any reviews of the Gigabyte Aorus 5 2022 laptop and you will get a very good idea. This model has exact same internal design but instead of using high refresh rate IPS gaming panels, this one has the 4K OLED panel. Below is one for you.
