I own every color of this TRex watch. I love it more than my Apple one. This watch is excellent if you need GPS tracking, Outstanding Battery Life, Great Performance etc. Now this watch is what I call G-Shock of Smartwatches. If you are all into Hiking, Trekking, Triathlon etc, this is your thing. If you like to trash this based on 10-15% negative reviews in websites, You probably will not be able to buy anything in life. But try it, you will not repent. I own 20+ smartwatches & this one has every reason to be in my top 3.

Zep app is fine. Synchs well to the Google fit app. I don't have this. I have the bip3 pro and happy with it. Battery life is fantastic!

I had the Bip3 pro and the Trex. I enjoyed them both but switched back to the apple because the lack of features in a smart watch. Overall HIGHLY recommend if you're not a fan of apple and looking for a nice, basic smart watch.

Does this watch has open water swim capabilities ?Couldn't find the answer on the amazfit website.

Zepp app doesn't even show basic functionality like live monitoring of your heart rate.

It has only a few workout modes.

Zepp app does not even have treadmill mode.

It's garbage.

Thats a very good question. Samsung watch is definitely ahead of this one in few areas/features (So as Apple, Garmin Forerunner etc) but no one will be able to beat the $70 for the quality this watch offers.
Obviously T-Rex first version lacks few features but for the price, this is excellent in my view.

It appears to me that the guy who did the "scientific" study is an excercise jock and not a scientist.What he compres is an undampeed Polar and overdamped Amazfit.
There is abosoultely no reason to call it inaccurate, I would say Polar to be so underdamped that it can't be right -- your heart can't go up/down in rate in the frequency it show and damns the competiton.
Your heart rate doesn't go 140 to 70 and up in 1/2 minutes - internet is full on illiterati professing to experts on everything.
That guy needs another job or a hobby - he is plain wrong in his analysis.
