That would be my (the Deal Editor's) mistake, folks Frown Sincere apologies for the (unintentionally misleading, yet brief) typo. Thanks for understanding.

why not get these with 3 year warranty instead of this one without warranty? it's the same drive and even cheaper.

Evidently this drive comes with 5-year warranty by the seller.

(Factory Refurbished, Factory Sealed, Zero Bad Sectors) Backed by a 5-Year Warranty from Reseller, Worry Free 100% Full Refund

Tempting... but more power hungry... and generates more heat... and electricity prices are up.... so consider that. I would not use these in my NAS..... but if you need 7200 RPM drives and don't care about the extra power and heat or buying used, then (maybe?) go for it....

According to resellerratings, goHardDrive has a higher rating than Western Digital and Seagate combined.

I thought that BBB was considered a fraud when it was revealed that companies spend thousands a year for A+ ratings

Used enterprise hard drives that went bad…wouldn't take the chance or frankly store anything on them I wasn't acutely aware I was going to lose. These drives likely all ran 24x7x365 for a few years before they died and were revived just long enough to sell them to an unsuspecting consumer. They likely all have a huge number of hours on them and given the heavy load they likely carried, you'd be better off to pay a bit more and get something that will actually last.

I have a plethora of experience with WD services. While they are prompt, in my experience they don't replace a non-manufacturer refurbished drive and it voids the warranty. I didn't check to see who refurbished these, but there is a question in the Amazon link and it specifically notes that WD does not honor any warranty on these drives…it's between you and the seller at that point, or I guess Amazon if you're within your return period. WD also doesn't replace "2nd user" drives that have are refurbished already as they claim the warranty only applies to the first/original owner.
