For anyone looking at this kit, while the tools DO have brushless motors the overall kit is a lesser verison of Ryobi's brushless line. The full bore brushless tools take advantage of HP batteries. The tools in this kit cannot do that, and the batteries included are not the better HP versions. Also, $199 has been the price on this kit since before Labor Day. It's still a good price, just not a true screaming deal. Now if they tossed in a 6th tool...

Ryobi and other manufacturers need to be taken to task for offering 1.5Ah batteries. Virtually useless and creating Mounds of toxic waste. If every brand offered Minimun 2Ah batteries, there'd be less consumer time wasted and less toxic waste. Also wld be great if they offered an exchange program wherein they replaced the batteries inside n resold them as refuilt. Far Less waste. SDers cld lead the charge.

For anyone looking at this kit, while the tools DO have brushless motors the overall kit is a lesser verison of Ryobi's brushless line. The full bore brushless tools take advantage of HP batteries. The tools in this kit cannot do that, and the batteries included are not the better HP versions. Also, $199 has been the price on this kit since before Labor Day. It's still a good price, just not a true screaming deal. Now if they tossed in a 6th tool...

I use mine all the time, especially in fans/lights or with compact impact driver. They're great when you want a lighter tool and they last plenty long for my needs.

There was a detailed review of them from a popular YT tool reviewer - I don't remember who. The full bore HP (brushless) tools have extra contacts w the battery. These tools dont have them, and the batteries are regular not HP version s(ie, lacking the extra contacts).
