Noob question: How does weight matter considering the car seat will mostly be in the car and then on the stroller. Does the weight make a difference since it would matter only while moving between car and stroller? Or am I missing a use case?
Honestly this is a crazy good price (especially if you combine with registry discount). I'd be torn bc it's such a great deal..but I now have a 2 month old.
I think it's a 40% difference in weight. It starts getting hard for smaller ppl like my spouse and gradmas who may watch them several times a week. (Getting in/out of car, or just carrying it when I'm not present) I'm also getting older combined with elderly health issues so the weight was the primary driver of me buying the pip lite.
Though it's still "only" 10lb about..if the extra 4-5lb are of minimal concern and impact, go with this deal.
For ref, I got the pipa rx lite and base for $309 from nordstrom

Stroller is separate but does just clip in if end up getting one (cruiz is for one kid vista is for 2). I have both uppababy setup and doona and liked the doona better. Uppababy is nicer but much heavier and bulky.
i think we will keep looking
If any current or expecting parent is on the fence with this...JUST DO IT! I am happy to answer any questions or share pics via PM to further discuss.
Top-of-the-line quality, amazing customer service. Pricey, but these are 5-6 year investments even with only one kiddo especially when you bring the stroller into play.

Your kid won't be in this for that long - 18m was about the max for my kid
