These are nearly useless in offering any form of protection if you go down. If saving your skin is a priority, please do some research before purchasing.

They're still viable for off-road and enduro riding where you don't want the bulky inserts.

These aren't track gloves but they are still going to save a lot of discomfort in lower speed crashes.

Not enough protection for me personally. I always go with gloves that have palm sliders, thick coverage on the wristbone, harder knuckle protection and preferably with a stitched pinkie and aramid stitching. It basically lacks all the safety features that are important for protection in a legit crash at speeds over 15 MPH.

FYI these have knuckle protection under the surface.
Personally I have something more protective but these are much much better than nothing and are pretty comfortable and cheap.

Get the handroid pod if you can. I say that the gloves isn't something I replace with my bike wherever the helmet is another story. It MUST go with my bike

Personally, I have been riding in NYC for almost 15 years and have taken nearly half a dozen spills most recently was actually just two weeks ago when a bus driver was having a bad day and purposefully hit me in the Lincoln Tunnel. I was wearing these exact gloves along with an armored hoodie and just caught some rash on my forearm, nothing more. Alpinestars as a brand has never done me wrong, Dainese on the other hand is overpriced trash. I hadn't been down for over a decade before that but my equipment let me and my puppy walk away unharmed. I'm picking up an extra two sets at this price, thanks op.

Why? The brand, or the style?

Style for one. Don't recommend not using a gauntlet.

Just got it, and $35 seems like the right price for the gloves.
Not bad of a glove, not recommend for track or high speed use, good for hot temperature as air does flow through the gloves nicely, grip is nice.
