it was on sale yesterday only. I am sure it will show up again before X-Mas. Bose seems to be slashing prices to reduce inventory.

As a (former) Sony fanboy, I would never ever ever buy Sony headphones again. Riddled with problems from the beginning. They've somehow gotten even worse with an intermittent screeching sound from the NC. On the other hand, my wife's Bose has been rock solid, and more comfortable to boot. Neither are going to sound as good as hifi headphones, but that's not what they're for.
