I bought the s500w just over a year ago. I believe that the s300 are a little smaller and the battery will last longer. I think the audio quality listening is similar. The 500's are very good with active noise cancelling. Just after the 1 year warranty elapsed my 500's developed an audio problem in the left ear unit. Some people might find the 500's too big to fit comfortably.

Dang, I wanted these for treadmill running. They may not be the best for this without the noise cancelling.

Agreed. Also the batteries on mine discharge (while in the charging case) SO fast. You don't use them at all and they're dead in a week. My cheap Anker buds can hold a charge for months. Not sure if that's common or mine are defective.
