Are you sure it wasn't three months for $45?
i suspect AT LEAST 90% of people do care about keeping their number though.
Check your coverage area for T-mobile before joining Mint and you won't be surprised later…

Officially, 45 days. More liberal leeway with BB-purchased sim kits. For general sales, you're probably safe.
This is wrong. It is 45 days for all cards. I have been denied by Mint CS on day 47. I lost $60 that way. I even went to the Mint Reddit forums and complained and I was told by one of the employees who mods that forum "tough shit". It's the reason why I never will use Mint again.

Someone may get luck and get a CS Rep who will do it but it is absolutely a YMMV things. If you want to gamble with your money, fine, but don't mislead others.

you can literally chat with a rep after activation and get the acct number and pin
then you're set for any port out

How easy is it to port out the number given to you? I am looking for a new number that I can port into Xfinity to get a new iPhone through their deal.

I've never been denied, especially if purchased from best buy. I purchased two cards same deal and successfully activated the 2nd after the first completely ran out (90 days later). I didn't even have to contact CS. I think there's more leeway if purchased from BB vs directly from mint.

I am an existing customer with 5 months left on my 10GB plan that I bought 7 months ago, can I buy this to add into my existing 10GB plan to last longer?

I've bought these cards from Best Buy and have sat on them for over a year and had no problem activating them as if I were activating a card purchased the day before.

Just beware, after this promo Mint not only tacks on taxes but also their "recovery fee", fancy word for additional hidden profit.
It's Mint's equivalent of airline baggage fees.

It's a hard 45 days if purchased directly from Mint, a YMMV otherwise.

Adding to a few different conversations:

Zelle can do verification with an email address...I didn't sign up with phone, and don't verify with it.
Google Voice should be your main number (I've given out my GV number for over 10 years), on my main phone I stopped last year because texts started being phased out without using the website or app though.
Mint can be slow, but for where I am anything is better than Verizon!

Question: when can you activate this service? I am thinking of activating the service in about 6 months from now, can I do that?

Unsure about email for zelle, but even if true, then it will probably still limit you to just receiving money and you won't be able to send money out. I can receive money and itll go straight to my account when ppl send to my zelle that is tied to my gv number, I only get an error when attempting to send from the zelle screen within my banks system.

Boost has 3mo 5GB for $15: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=6484740

Is this a better deal if I don't use much data? Also, is it possible to get a bunch of these and swap between the boost and mint kits or do they have some way of enforcing the new customer only thing?

I've been using Zelle for 6 years, it works just fine both sending and receiving money by signing into my bank on their website. I do know some banks have limitations, so that's probably your issue. I had a friend who couldn't receive money even though they sent me some from same account (but uses app, and not tech savvy so who knows)
Also, a family member found out they had a $500 daily send limit -- but that was bank imposed for people new to Zelle. That family member had to send the remainder of the money the next day. (I know someone else thought it was a weekly limit, but again only some banks put limits and it depends on if your Zelle account is new ...or if that bank just does it for other reasons. I know I read where Wells Fargo basically says limits are set on case by case basis and removing them will just depend on if they see the account as being worthy to not have daily limits).

I have Zelle with multiple accounts and I use it regularly with Chase without issue. Again, not using any special apps or requiring verification, just sign into my account and go to send money. When people send me money, I get an email notification then can immediately sign into my bank account and see it in my account.

$10 for 10GB? That's a smoking hot deal, we're almost reaching similar prices with the rest of the developed world
