This site is bananas. They shill this crap but prevent people from starting a thread for a way better deal on a well-reviewed product. So I'll try and spread the word here. It isn't that uncommon in the overall marketplace for AC mains powered USB chargers to see some bad reviews about over heating, melting, sometimes fires, electric shock hazards where AC mains voltage shorts out to the USB cable socket's conductors, etc. for some chargers that are defective and not designed safely enough to prevent seriously risky fault conditions.
I looked just yesterday and didn't see any marking or claim that I noticed that the 2-port ugreen charger had any such certification, and as I recall that may also be the case for other lower wattage USB chargers I have seen from that brand.
So on the one hand it seems like the charging specifications are fine and it'd be a good unit if made with quality / robustness and safety designed in but if it really doesn't have the safety certifications I'd
buy something that does (maybe belkin, insignia, whatever) over one that doesn't any day.
Or if they do have safety certifications they should certainly publish those on the product page prominently!
Annoyance: Charger and other products that don't display pictures of the markings (usually on the rear / bottom or "plug in" side of the equipment) for UL, TUV, FCC, whatecer in the product pictures, and don't have a manual or other specification as to the relevant compliance information listed on the product page!
