There is more to them than a typical circular saw. The Ryobi tracks are solid and that is the most important part of the system.

Why would a company release a track saw without 96 inch tracks? This doesn't say much for the company. I would never buy a track saw without the capacity to rip sheet goods. Makes this tool just about useless.

You can keep adding 27.5 inch portions of track in theory. I don't understand why they didn't make it compatible with the Makita/festool track. However, this got a ton of love at 300+ in the past so I'm surprised how quickly it's fallen out of favor with the crowd here.

You can add more sections of track. They did it like this to keep cost down. It's a good saw and this price is a great deal, even if you have to add a couple for pieces of track.

I have all Milwaukee cordless. I've refrained from buying any other brand even if it's a great deal just cause I don't want a stack of chargers and different batteries. But I pulled the trigger on this. $250 less to add another charger to the desk. Something I won't use a ton but will be happy to have I think.

Just FYI on this if someone's thinking about getting this and needs the longer track for a project soon, the extra track has been out of stock for forever. No clue when it'll actually be available to buy.

You could purchase an adapter for your Milwaukee batteries that would allow them to work in Ryobi tools.
