Quick disclaimer: I work at Philips

That being said, and being a frugal person, if you *just* bought it, I'd say maybe? Or try to return the 1100?
This model of the 4100 has a motor that offers twice as many brush movements per minute compared to the 1100 (62,000 vs 31,000), which is the same technology present on the $200+ models. Now if you were thinking of upgrading from the 4100 to the 5100 I would tell you it isn't worth it, but 1100 to 4100 is a pretty significant leap for that reason

Its better than Oral-B or anything else just get it. I go to the dentist probably every five years if I have a problem and my dentist always tells me that my teeth look better than most people that get them cleaned every six months.

difference between this and the "new" 4100? The new one seems to have a usb cable?
The new version has USB charger and the handle is smaller diameter and doesn't feel as strong a motor to me. Prefer this original version. Bought this one and will pass the new version from Amazon deal a couple months ago to my teen as he doesn't care one way or the other.

Good price, just RMA'd mine and new one arrives Friday, just had to show invoice and replacement was shipped a day later. This is the old 4100 model that only has 1 intensity mode, the new 4100 has 2. Basically the same toothbrush but at this price point this is worth getting.

Phillips no longer stocks the old 4100, the warranty replacement is the new 4100 model.
Mine is having issues, did they have you send the old one back?

I want a pro opinion on this: How does this compare to my existing Sonicare HX6750? I couldn't find any moments per minute data on mine. Thank you!

Electric brushes are a gimmick. The proof is in the usage instructions. It claims to clean your teeth 40x better than a regular brush, but you still need to brush for 2 minutes? This is why people don't trust science anymore.

Too bad there's never a SlickDeal on common sense huh?

Just stopped by at Best Buy. The same model but different SCU not on sale. Retail box says "5X Plaque remover"

I wonder if it's the same item.

What was the reason for rma?

Stopped charging after 20 months. For how cheap these are I wouldn't mind paying for a new one

These work fantastically well while they work. I have bought about 5 of these in the last 10 years. The metal post that holds the brushhead becomes loose and floppy on me without fail, before the warranty is up. The warranty is 24-30 months. I simply chat with customer support and they send me a new handle.

The best part of this toothbrush is brand new ORIGINAL brush.

This makes ALL the difference compared with old brush or non-original. replacement aka fake brush that look about the same, but lose stiffness after few weeks, and don't perform as they should. .

Only $30 and you will feel the difference, I did.

I believe the HX6750 is the same technology as the 1100, so if you need to replace it this 4100 should be an upgrade
