And they were able to honor the staples price.
Note: I had to purchase at full price and they refunded me the difference.
I'm going to attempt to exchange the series 7 for the series 8 by going into the store tomorrow. Both are the same exact price, and the refund is not reflected on the receipt.

Me: May I ask why? Im currently looking at the price match policy and it doesn't mention anything about not price matching on weekly ad items. It just says to show the digital version of the ad or printed out as proof

Called target yesterday and spent over 45 mins with two different agents and was told sorry we don't price match instore items. Called target again this morning. Got different response this time. Sorry we don't price match using staples weekly add.
Stopped by target in the evening. And was surprised to see these watches in stock but when it came for associate to price match, was told sorry staples is not our competitor. Duuh!!!
I showed the associate chat from target.com and their price match policy and she flatly refused that she can't manipulate system showing staples as their competitor.
Than drove by Best Buy since I always had good experience there. Lazy associate sitting at customer service desk stated we can price match it but it's not in stock at our location. We can ship it to you but since staples deal is instore only you won't get price match. What the ***!? What am I missing here? Spoke to a so called supervisor and was told wow great price at staples, why don't you buy it from there?? Dude I'm here can you or can't you price match?? Moron said max I can give you is $10-$20 off our price which would have been $260 of so for an SE. I said don't worry. Nothing but lazy bozos I encountered all day. So now I give up 😩
