FYI this is the basic plan; no Howard for those who care.

FYI, there's some other BS fee attached that ends up making the total $120ish. That said we did this last go around, I don't regret it.

It may have to do with the fact that older vehicles don't have Android Auto or Carplay which really make sirius streaming much easier to use. Just a guess.

Or they may figure if you drive a late model car you can afford the extra $2 a month.
Was told the 3 year deal was not transferable to another vehicle. That is what the supervisor stated.

Looks like you already have a subscription.

And then no mention. Sigh. I don't have the energy to deal with this. I'll let it lapse in February then see what they offer me.

I have the $5 per month mailer and called the number saying that a friend of mine got his $149 5year renewed just the other day.
The CSR replied its expired then i ask to check again since it was just 2 days ago that my friend got it and voila it was given so now im subscribed until 2027.

One thing to note though - this is not the platinum plan - this is just the entertainment plan but since it includes app streaming - you still have access to almost everything.

Also look at the royalty and tax - i was charged 39.99 for the 5 years. so total $189.98 for 5 years

Just chat with them - I highly recommend doing so when you are doing something else and have the time to go back and forth awhile.

They will give you $5/mo for everything on one radio, you just have to threaten to cancel a lot.

My last interaction a couple of weeks ago, I was able to renew again for both my cars, $5/mo each with all the music and talk as far as I know. $6ish with fees and I forced them to remove the auto renew from the user agreement they sent.

Obviously this isn't $33/yr but it also includes the talk channels.

Personally I find the only benefit to Sirius is not having a dead button on the car radio.

Edit: You need to explain to them that you don't even really want their product. They'll come back and try to get you at $6, or perhaps finally settle on $5 but no talk channels... just keep pushing. and let me know if you get even better, I've heard $25/6 mo before.

The 3 year $99 or 5 year $150 is what ya want. It's music and entertainment. That's a steal. Plus, you could always "upgrade". Lock now at todays tax/royality rate.

You can always find a 2-4 month "streaming only" Platinum package deal for free (like with Best Buy) if you need to catch up on Howard or other talk stuff.

We typically renew at $60/yr for Platinum which includes everything. Today they would not honor the $99/3yr in my '18 Jeep. He said that's for cars 2014 and older and tried to push me and said the best they could do was $107 plus taxes and fees. I laughed and said, you're out of your mind. He said that's the best we can do. I know better. All I have to do is wait for the $60 deal or call back and talk to another agent.

I had 5 months left on a previous 1 year special for $99 on a 2010 Grand Cherokee. I tried going through the website on the Original Post and soon as I put my details in, it downgraded the offer to 6 months for $30.

So I call in and was transparent: Existing car, 5 months left, I want to sign up for the 3 years for $99.

In summary I got it after being put on hold, being told the Jeep didn't qualify but she'd ask her supervisor to see if he could override. When she came back from hold, she said we could do it.

With the existing credit from the remaining sub, out the door I paid $87. Not bad. Thanks SD!

To be fair to Sirius.,.they don't control those fees. Those are licensing fees they have to pay for the music and content. They don't get a penny of that $

Also streaming is included as well for all Sirius packages. So you can use this with your phone. Or even better is using with Alexa or google speakers. "Hey google play (channel name or number) on Sirius XM' and it will play. Perfect for when you have company over and want background music. Or for me I use it for music during the day working.
To be fair, my local Five Guys has to pay a "ground beef" fee to the butcher for usage of cows in their burgers - but I don't see a line item for Cow Meat Fee on my receipt. Every business has their main ingredients; it should be illegal to advertise anything but the total price to the customer.

SiriusXM is the only music service that will negotiate the price with you. Everyone else has a "take it or leave it" policy. Give them credit for that.

Apparently it isn't just 2019 or newer. I have a 2018 Jeep Renegade and have been without service for several months and it didn't work. Just offered me the same !@#$ they always offer by phone solicitation; $5/month for 12 months. You can get that deal anytime after you stop service. Here's to those who get the deal! Smilie

This is what I was considering. I didn't know anyone who did it or if there was something hidden that I didn't see. Now I can't find it. It isn't on the AMEX site.
