Or they may figure if you drive a late model car you can afford the extra $2 a month.

And then no mention. Sigh. I don't have the energy to deal with this. I'll let it lapse in February then see what they offer me.
The CSR replied its expired then i ask to check again since it was just 2 days ago that my friend got it and voila it was given so now im subscribed until 2027.
One thing to note though - this is not the platinum plan - this is just the entertainment plan but since it includes app streaming - you still have access to almost everything.
Also look at the royalty and tax - i was charged 39.99 for the 5 years. so total $189.98 for 5 years
They will give you $5/mo for everything on one radio, you just have to threaten to cancel a lot.
My last interaction a couple of weeks ago, I was able to renew again for both my cars, $5/mo each with all the music and talk as far as I know. $6ish with fees and I forced them to remove the auto renew from the user agreement they sent.
Obviously this isn't $33/yr but it also includes the talk channels.
Personally I find the only benefit to Sirius is not having a dead button on the car radio.
Edit: You need to explain to them that you don't even really want their product. They'll come back and try to get you at $6, or perhaps finally settle on $5 but no talk channels... just keep pushing. and let me know if you get even better, I've heard $25/6 mo before.
You can always find a 2-4 month "streaming only" Platinum package deal for free (like with Best Buy) if you need to catch up on Howard or other talk stuff.

So I call in and was transparent: Existing car, 5 months left, I want to sign up for the 3 years for $99.
In summary I got it after being put on hold, being told the Jeep didn't qualify but she'd ask her supervisor to see if he could override. When she came back from hold, she said we could do it.
With the existing credit from the remaining sub, out the door I paid $87. Not bad. Thanks SD!
Nevermind, found it. https://www.siriusxm.co
Also streaming is included as well for all Sirius packages. So you can use this with your phone. Or even better is using with Alexa or google speakers. "Hey google play (channel name or number) on Sirius XM' and it will play. Perfect for when you have company over and want background music. Or for me I use it for music during the day working.
