Various deck screws at Home Depot
Not a super must buy deal to stock up or front page worthy but if you need a lot of deck screws soon it is the best I could find. Treated wood prices have plummeted and a great time to do that project you've been putting off. Significantly less price per screw than the standard 5lb tubs that run $30-35 normally.

10lb 2 1/2 and 3 inch #9, ship to home and/or store $41.97

I've found some Lowes have a 800 count 3 inch #10 for $39 if you can find them. There was a deal posted earlier this year with details but YMMV

It screws in easier without having to push it. It also pulls wood together better than the one that Lowe's sells (I forgot the name)
100% yes. for the 3in screw... The Deck Plus brand from Lowes only has 1 inch of no threads, the DeckMate from Home Depot has a full 1.5 inch of no threads. Makes a huge difference in pulling the boards tight when using 2x lumber. I find myself way too often reversing and re tightening the Deck Plus brand or using quick clamps and it is frustrating and time consuming. I stopped buying the "Deck Plus" brand for that reason. No way I am predrilling. I'd just use the nailer and galvanized ring shank nails at that point.

How do these compare? Still available at half price in Los Angeles area Lowes.

I don't like them, that's the exact screw I was complaining about. I bought them at that price too locally but gone now around here. It's up to you, I'll gladly pay a little more for the Deckmate style.

EDIT: ignore my comment above. I got confused and looked at the wrong link, not the ones you mentioned.

Considering that I spent $75 for the two boxes of 5 lbs deckmate screws that I just installed, this is a fantastic deal. They have worked very well for my project.

For those complaining about Phillips heads, a square bit for the Phillips style head is better unless you're using the supplied Phillips head.

"10#" in the title is misleading, makes you believe they are #10 screws. 10 lb is more appropriate in my opinion.

this is a deal? its the same screw as deck plus from lowes. a lot of these comments have to be bots. I picked up 15 pounders [1000 2 1/2" screw] packs of deck plus months ago for $21 from lowes. at $40 these are just normal price.

the screws are okay, starts almost as good as grk, but I do have problems with grk. they are really prone to cracking wood if you're used to a more premium screw, so consider pre drilling more than you would a more Premium screw. they don't drive as easily as grk, but very minimal difference. the coating wears on driving. maybe 20 screws for every 1000 had excess coating in drive head. these are hefty strong every day screws.

id buy 15 pounds/1000 screws again at $20 bucks. I'd consider at Normal price $40, any higher then all other screws would have to be significantly inflated as well. these are decently malleable and very hard screws. if they didn't split wood so much I'd stop buying grk for these even with their ratings.

home depot and lowes both pulled their variants at the same time for a newer design with less splitting supposedly.

Interested in the 15 pounds for $21. Post a link or example and help everyone out. Assuming someone won't need a time machine to repeat it. I bought 15lbs of 3 inch stainless square drive from an estate auction earlier this year for $6, doesn't help anyone now though. FYI and not that it matters, these are not the same as the Deck Plus from Lowes, at least on the 3in version, the threaded portion on the Deck Plus is too long and flawed for 2x lumber to pull tight and the $40 for 800 is now a big YMMV.

Original post mentions 800 count 3"lowes tan decking screws for ~$39.

Thanks to noticing your posting, I also found (and had to track down at a more distant local store) a 1000 count box of #10 2 1/2" deck screws for the same price.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-...5001564093

My local store said they normally carry them but had no idea when they might or might not show up. The inventory on these screws was -1 so I drove 15 mi. to get them. This box plus the screws weighs 14 pounds so it looks like it beats the 25 pound container on cost per screw. I love these things.

I see someone said these were $21 at one time. Darn good price.

I confess to predrilling. The stainless square drive screws (I'd gotten some at Habitat for Humanity), didn't like as they were fidgety. Definitely had to predrill and drive slowly to avoid having the drive bit skip out.
